About our Instructors

Stacy Brookman
Owner/Instructor
Growing up as a competitive swimmer, Stacy has always embraced sports and maintained an active lifestyle.  When she’s not teaching, you can find her on the tennis courts, on a road bike, hiking trail, or yoga mat.  Being active has always been an outlet for her to stay both physically and mentally healthy.  She began practicing yoga in 2000 and barre in 2012, and loves that the isometric movements provide strength, toning, and mind-body awareness, all without joint impact.  Before opening Fly & Flow Fitness, Stacy formerly taught aerial yoga, barre, and aerial tricks at Defy Gravity in Boca Raton.

Stacy believes that an aerial practice is a doorway to youth and creates spinal flexibility and upper body strength that she cannot find with any other exercise.  Stacy has brought the only aerial yoga, barre & tricks program to the area.

Anita Havel
Instructor

Anita’s illustrious career as a professional dancer and choreographer, both nationally and internationally brought her to South Florida for some warm sun to help manage the pain of overuse injuries to the joints and spine. During this time, she has had the privilege of choreographing  & performing for the Arts Garage, Women in Jazz South Florida, and The Norton Museum “Arts Noir.” She has also developed many youth ballet programs for the City of Delray Beach and (formerly ) Barre ++.  As well,  she instructed Yoga for Yoga Fox and Seagate Ocean Beach Club, and Barre classes for (formerly) Barre++ and YMCA. The time came when doctors insisted she cease all physical activities and undergo joint replacement surgery. Then Anita discovered aerial yoga! The most amazing transformation of health and healing occurred with steady practice of aerial! Mentored by Lisa Midlarsky, owner of Defy Gravity, she was able to immerse herself in the mastering of the fun, expressive, and therapeutic art of aerial yoga and she is honored and eager to share it with everyone!
